The Story Behind the Art:

Born in Bogota, Colombia, the artisan now lives and works in Costa Rica—a country she fell in love with from the very first moment. After finding it difficult to secure work despite having professional degrees, she gathered her courage and turned to wood crafting. Today, she and her husband dedicate all their time to this art form, with each piece shaped through years of trial, error, and passion.

She is also a member of a women artisans' association that helps women without skills generate an income—teaching knitting, weaving, painting, sewing, jewelry making, and gastronomy. Her husband remains her greatest support, always by her side throughout the crafting process.

The handmade nature of this piece means slight variations in color, size, and design are to be expected. If purchasing two of the same item, minor differences should be anticipated. Color discrepancies may occur between the product and your screen.
